ABOUT ROSALIN KUIPER

Rosalin Kuiper is a professional offshore sailor preparing to skipper The Ocean Race EUROPE 2025 with Team Holcim-PRB.

Rosalin Kuiper, 29, Dutch, joined Team Holcim-PRB in 2023 as a skipper alongside Nicolas Lunven. Rosalin will accompany him as skipper to continue building her offshore experience until the Vendée Globe 2024, with the ambition of leading the Swiss team in The Ocean Race Europe 2025.

She started sailing at the age of six on her Optimist on a lake close to her hometown Zoetermeer. In her youth, she competed in athletics at national level before switching to field hockey. Rosalin Kuiper fell in love with sailing again at 18 during a solo trip to Australia and took on her first sailing job as a deckhand on a sailing ship. She then joined a sailing school and was selected to join the youth sailing academy led by former Volvo Ocean Race skipper Roy Heiner.

Since then, driven by her energy and her will to succeed, Rosalin Kuiper has competed multiple times in iconic races like the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, The Fastnet Race and the Caribbean 600, she has worked with a multitude of sailing champions. During The Ocean Race Europe 2023, she sailed onboard the Volvo 65 AkzoNobel as a trimmer. Ultimately she sailed The Ocean Race 2023 with Team Malizia as the only female skipper to complete all the legs and to finish in third place on the overall leaderboard.

The Dutch sailor has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, specialising in sports psychology and group dynamics. She can frequently be spotted on a bike or hiking trail, kite surfing, on ski’s or smiling out of her self-built campervan
